Vivienne and Victoria–Volks SD 10 Tae II and Volks YoSD Lin

I’ve been putting off the writing of my master’s thesis for too long now.  Today I decided I had to sit down and read and take notes and was able to do so after walking the dogs, a brisk swim, and a short nap.  The problem is that all along, all I could think of is what kind of dress I should make for Vivienne next, and how I have to design a dress for a friend’s baby who is turning 1 in October.

I just want to sew!!

Anyways… I’ve been wanting to play with my dolls all day and I finally got around to it later tonight.  I took some pictures of Vivienne and V.  Lighting was not so good so that affected the quality of the pictures.  But they just look so cute together.

Enjoy ^^

I really gotta buy the rest of the flooring for better pictures.

Dear Vivienne, stunning as always.

Where’s Valentine?? Valentine is in hiatus until I get her a new wig!!  The one she wears is much too big for her head.  Hopefully I can change that soon so I can take a picture with all three of my girls.

**All clothes are by sweet p.

Mori Girl event–WIP01

Here are the dress sketches for the Mori project as well as some pictures of the materials I will be using.  Enjoy and do share your opinion!!

The sketch on the left is completed, but I’m still trying to come up with ideas on how to layer up Vivienne’s outfit (on the right).  Maybe some bloomers?  Or maybe a free-flowing skirt beneath the dress?

More importantly, I have no idea how I’m going to make a belt or a headband!!! BUT, where there’s a will, there’s a way!!

I bought this tiny, travel iron because I’ve been using a hair iron to press my clothes!!

My tiny work space.  I really need a bigger table/desk and more storage space.

I purchased this set of cute fabrics at Hobby Lobby about a month ago, and I feel like a couple of them are perfect for this project.  I still have to go shopping for more fabric but one of the yellow fabrics is a good start for Valentine’s dress.  The lace in the background is a beautiful lace blouse that I just loved wearing (I LOVE lace), but alas, I’ve gained weight in the last few months so my BJD’s get to wear it now.

New job and semi-completed project

I started a new job recently and training requires me to really develop my brain washing therapeutic skills. Thus, for the last few days I have been exhausted after work from the strenuous brain work out and so I neglected my sewing a bit more than I’d like to. It seems like my energy levels might be back to normal because I finally sat down to complete the outfit from Adam’s Harris Pattern Company!!

I’m so pleased with the results and so proud of myself!! I loved every minute of bringing this piece to life. I loved it so much that I lost track of time and ended up going to bed late (my bed time is around 10 pm). I’ve often heard that when you’re doing something you love time seems to slip through your fingers and I couldn’t agree more!

Enjoy some preliminary (not so good) pictures.

Note to self: I really need to find a better spot to take photos!!
